I just learned tonight that comic book artist, Dave Cockrum, died this morning of diabetes and other complications. He was only 63 years old. Dave was the one who co-created the X-Men character called Nightcrawler. Dave's work included the X-Men, the Avengers, the Legion of Superheroes, the Starjammers, and many others.
He had been ill in recent years. He will be greatly missed by the ones who grew up looking at his work.
