I heard about the sad news this morning that Denny Doherty of the Mamas and the Papas had died yesterday. I cried. They are one of my favorite groups. Denny was 66 years old. That now means that three members are now dead. The other two were Cass Elliott (died in 1974) and John Phillips (died in 2001).
When the group was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame several years back, I was thrilled.
