Another Reason Why I love "Boston Legal"

Last Tuesday's episode of "Boston Legal" starring William Shatner and James Spader focused on a fellow employee in their law firm who has Asperger's Syndrome.  Alan Shore, James Spader's character, was defending his co-worker because he was very frustrated at his female boss, Shirley Schmidt (Candice Bergen), for passing him over again for a promotion to full partner and put a knife to her throat in the previous week's episode.  The co-worker had been with the firm for 15 years.  Other co-workers considered him as an oddball, but the truth was that he wasn't an oddball.  He was really a person with Asperger's Syndrome.

Alan talked to psychiatrists and came up a solution to keep his co-worker out of jail: Behavior therapy to learn social skills and medication to control his emotional outbursts.  I personally think it was a good storyline.  I hope they do more episodes about Asperger's Syndrome.
