The Boston Globe has done a profile about artist Paul Laffoley who happens to have Asperger's Syndrome. He has been doing contemporary art since 1965 and even once worked for Andy Warhol. His artwork has themes about religion, comic books, astrology, time travel, philosophy and black holes.
Currently, the Kent Gallery in New York has his work in an exhibit called "Mind Physics, " which is a collection of his works from the mid-1960s to the present.
