Sad news was heard over the radio today when I heard that Billy Preston had passed away at 59 after a long illness. He had been in a coma since last November after having surgery in Arizona.
Billy is mostly known for working with the Beatles in 1969, but he had a successful career before and after his collaboration with the Fab Four. He will be missed greatly.
RIP Billy Preston.
