Professor Peter Robinson of the Computer Library at the University of Cambridge in England and Rana el Kaliouby of the Media Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, have teamed up to create a computer that will help people with autism and Asperger's Syndrome read minds. The computer that they are working on will assist in analyzing facial expressions and nonverbal cues in order for an autistic person to mind read and be aware of the other person's emotions.
Would it be easier if we had telepathic powers like Jean Grey and Professor Charles Xavier of the X-Men?
