Parents in Flushing, Michigan, are hoping to start a local community event in the near future on World Autism Awareness Day. Sundae Peterson and Diane Tackett each have sons who have autism. They are hoping they can unite with other parents in the Flushing School District to make the public understand autism and Asperger's Syndrome. Lisa Pyne, the Director of Special Services for the Flushing School District said that the population of children on the spectrum has tripled in recent years.
Thanks, Sundae and Diane, for helping out!
