RIP Ivan Dixon

Very sad news today: Ivan Dixon, one of the stars of the 60's sitcom Hogan's Heroes, has passed away at the age of 76.  His acting career started in the late 1950's.  He starred in movies: The Cave Dwellers, A Raisin in The Sun, Nothing But a Man, and Car Wash.  He suffered a hemorrhage after suffering complications from kidney failure Sunday night.

Dixon is best remembered for playing Staff Sergeant James Kinchloe on the 60's sitcom.

He will be missed.  I loved watching him on that show.  His character was a very important person in the prison camp.  He handled the technical stuff and the communications devices.
