Sandra Hodge, an associate professor at University of Missouri, was so impressed after reading Tim Page's article in The New Yorker last summer that she invited him to do lectures and discussions about Asperger's Syndrome. Last August, music critic Tim Page wrote about his struggles in the article called "Parallel Play: The Life of a Journalist with Asperger's Syndrome." Page turned his disability to ability when he became a music critic for The Washington Post in 1995.
Page will be at the University of Missouri next Monday and Tuesday. He is also an visiting professor at the Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California and will be writing his memoir next year.
