Thomas Maznec of Cleveland, Ohio, had tough challenges his whole life, but he hoped that science would eventually discover why he was different. Recently, he was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. Thomas is 50 years old.
During his childhood, kids at school called him retarded. When he reached adulthood, he had trouble keeping jobs. He has two college degrees. Getting the diagnosis made him a changed man, according to his current employer who encouraged him to try a new doctor.
His story is almost identical to mine. I have two college degrees and have a tough time finding the right job.
Good to see that more awareness is done to show that adults are being diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome.
