It was 42 years ago this week when "The Monkees" TV show debuted on NBC. We all got to see for the first time: Peter, Davey, Mickey, and Mike. They made both music and television history.
The Monkees are a very well respected band, despite their origin. Millions flock to their concerts. Even when one of them is performing solo, there is always a big crowd of admiring fans there to applaud.
