Boy With AS Honored With a Commendation

Last summer, Alex Taschini saved his father's life when he quickly doused the flames that were burning his father's face and head.  The fire occurred when his father poured an accelerant on a bonfire.  Quickly, Alex managed to get his father away from it and extinguished the flames without panicking.

Alex is a 13-year-old boy with Asperger's Syndrome.

The Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue awarded Alex with a certificate of commendation for bravery.  It is a top fire service honor.

Congrats to Alex!
