I remember watching Killer Kowalski when I was kid back in the 1970s. He was one big menacing wrestler. Those were the days! I once saw him live at a wrestling exhibition at the Capital Center in Landover, Maryland, in 1975.
Last weekend, Killer Kowalski died from complications of a heart attack he had over the summer. He was 81. He had been spending many years in Malden teaching wrestling. He once was interviewed by Andy Moes, Joe Martelle's late partner, in the mid-1990s on WRKO-AM.
RIP Killer!
