Sleep Apnea More Common in African-American Women

A recent study shows that obstructive sleep apnea is more common in middle-aged African-American women.  A questionnaire was given to 269 subjects who were in the average age of 48 years old.  It was conducted through the University of Pennsylvania.  The sleep apnea score among African-American women were more than double the score among Caucasian women.
