An autism awareness forum at a middle school in Troy, New York, had a modest turnout on Thursday night (August 21). The State Assemblyman along with the Mayor of Troy co-hosted the event with three others who each have a personal connection with autism and Asperger's Syndrome. Their forum is their first step to make the general public understand the two neurological conditions.
State Assemblyman Roy McDonald grew up with an autistic sister and also has a nephew diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. He realized that giving them loving support made them both successful.
Thanks for your help, Roy.
