N.H. Woman with AS Has Successful Independent Life

CarolAnn Edscorn of New Hampshire has Asperger's Syndrome and has been able to become a success in her personal and professional life.  She spoke this week about her life to an audience at the 10th annual University of New Hampshire's Institute on Disabilities Autism Forum.

She is a mother to five children and has been married for 25 years.  She has a servant dog called Shakespeare to help her out.  Also, she has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Rhode Island and a Master's Degree in Urban Affairs Management and Public Policy from Southern Illinois University.

She is an ordained minister and composes and plays the piano.

She said that society must make an effort to understand people with autism.

Thanks for the positive message, CarolAnn.
