It was on this day, August 16, 1977, that the world was shocked to learn that the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, had died in Memphis, Tennessee. He was only 42 years old.
People have been flocking to his home, Graceland, in Memphis every since he died to pay their respects to him.
