Dr. Jorge Srabstein wrote an interesting essay called "Bullying Now Seen as Health Issue." He is the medical director of the Clinic for Health Problems Related to Bullying at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Bullying was bad to me while growing up in Washington, DC. I'm still suffering from its aftereffects. It seems a lot of children who were shy or have Asperger's Syndrome are easy targets for the bullies who also have severe psychological problems themselves.
I hope they come up for a cure for Bullying real soon.

They won't come up with a cure for bullying unless they can eradicate all desire to be cruel. Good luck with that. ~Mary
