A thief lifted the glasses off the bronze statue of John Lennon at the Liverpool airport that bears his name. A temporary pair of glasses are now in place while a replacement pair for the statue is being made. The artist who created the statue says this is not the first time the glasses were taken.
Pretty sad that some memorabilia hunter swiped the statue's glasses.
