I know I'm a day late writing about this, but it was best to spend yesterday remembering the tragedy that happened five years ago than just writing about. I remember that day well. I cried tremendously that day. Maybe more crying than I did when my brother, Alfred, died back in 1980.
I even thought about John Lennon because I always associated New York City with him because he lived and died there. I saw so much death that day, and I saw the politicians that night singing, "God Bless America." I silently wished they sang "Give Peace A Chance."
We're still healing five years later.
