Despite the removal of a mercury-based preservative called thimerosal from most childhood vaccines, autism is still rising high in California. The elimination of the thimerosal was recommended back in 1999 after autism diagnosis started to rise during the 1990s. However, a study of children from 1999 to March 2007 should an increase in autism in children.
It's really hard to pin down what's causing this (very obvious statement). Are the researchers looking in the right place? What exactly is the right place to look for the cause?
